Hello, I'm Justinas

Junior Full Stack Developer

I built Jewel Studio, a live quoting platform for jewellers, with Java, Spring Boot, Angular and PostgreSQL. I also work in React, Node.js and MongoDB. Looking for my first junior developer role, Birmingham or remote.

About Me

Junior Full Stack Developer · Birmingham, UK

I spent years in warehouse operations: picking, packing, despatch, stock takes, scanners all day. Then I did a 450-hour Java bootcamp and started building. I have a Master's in Philosophy too, but that's a different story.

My main stack is Java, Spring Boot, Angular and PostgreSQL. I also build with React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB and TypeScript (this site is Next.js). Jewel Studio is the project where I did everything myself: database, API, PDFs, emails, trial system, deployment.

I'm looking for a junior full-stack role on a team that ships real software.

Outside of code

I go hiking and swimming, and I like trips out into nature.

It keeps me energised and balanced.

My own product, built solo

Quoting bespoke jewellery means juggling metal prices, stones, labour and margin. Jewel Studio does the sums and produces two PDFs: one for the client with the price, one for the jeweller with the margin. Emails the quote in one click. Live, with a 14-day trial and a public calculator.

Open-source template, audited and fixed

A MERN coffee shop with cart, orders, PayPal (sandbox) and an admin panel. I started from an open-source template, then audited it: signup stored passwords unhashed, any logged-in user could read anyone's orders, admin pages were open to everyone, and uploads needed no login. I fixed all four and deployed it.
